Louisiana's Audubon Golf Trail
CARTER PLANTATION
SPRINGFIELD
Carter Plantation is home to PGA Champion and Louisiana native David Toms' design. The spectac- ular course plays through three distinct Louisiana landscapes—live oaks, cypress wetlands and upland pine forests. Great effort has been made to preserve the plantation’s native wildlife habitats, with water coming into play on 11 of the holes.
COPPER MILL
ZACHARY/BATON ROUGE
Copper Mill is a “links-style” course reminiscent of those found in Scotland. The course, which features the native terrain of Louisiana, weaves its way through grasses, wetlands and marshes, and features more than 50 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards on 13 of the holes. You'll find that each hole at Copper Mill is truly memorable.
SANTA MARIA
BATON ROUGE
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the course is built on 150 acres of rolling terrain, featuring 15 lakes and two natural waterways. Sand and grass bunkers, Bermuda fairways and ancient oaks provide the perfect setting for a memorable test of golf. Santa Maria has consistently received Golf Digest's highest ratings for a municipal course.
THE BLUFFS ON THOMPSON CREEK
SAINT FRANCISVILLE
The Bluffs is an Arnold Palmer signature design, located in the wilderness of Thompson Creek that was revered by the painter, John James Audubon. The layout traverses a dense forest and sandy creek shores, with shots over hills, off bluffs and into hollows. You’ll find elevation changes, flowing creeks and rolling bluffs along the course.
